Course Description: Using the Simply Charlotte Mason Your Business Math Series curriculum, your student will own a pet shop and use math knowledge to keep his or her very own store running and, hopefully, make a profit. We will learn to write checks, figure sales tax, pay bills, and keep a bank account ledger current, all while practicing basic skills like addition, subtraction, and multiplication. We will introduce basic economic and accounting principles such as producers and consumers, supply and demand, taxes, and more. This will be a great combination of math and business for any young entrepreneur. 
Course Prerequisites: Proficiency with addition, subtraction, and multiplication

Course Description: Let’s explore nature and see where we can find math in God’s creation. We will explore various nature topics including plants, seeds, trees, animals, the seasons and more. While we explore the wonders of creation, we will also work on building foundational math skills for kindergarten through second grade. The focus will be on developing a strong number sense to aid in mastering addition and subtraction strategies. This class can be a supplement to any math curriculum you will be doing at home, giving your student practice with developing a strong number sense with ten frames, number bonds, number lines, and more to build their confidence and skills in addition and subtraction.
Course Prerequisites: counting and number recognition (if your student is already familiar and proficient in addition and subtraction, you may consider Nature & Numbers 2)

Course Description: Let’s dive into multiplication and soar high with division as we explore the creativity and uniqueness of God’s animal creations, specifically fish and birds. We will study the various species of fish and birds throughout the year while also strategically building skills in multiplication and division, starting with basic multiplication facts and progressing to multidigit multiplication and division. There will be opportunities for animal research and presentations throughout the year. Our goal will be strong foundational math skills to build upon as your student grows. We will spend time weekly mastering math facts alongside studying the swimming and flying creatures God created on the fifth day, learning through games, practice, reading, research, and more.
Course Prerequisites: Proficiency in addition and subtraction

Course Description: Solidify the math skills that will be needed for more advanced middle school math, pre-algebra and more. Whether your student is ready for more advanced middle school topics and/or in need of remediation of skills to prepare for more advanced topics, this class is a launchpad for both. Using the Singapore math method that focuses on mastery through the gradual sequencing of concepts, students will learn to think mathematically, not simply memorization and replication. The goal is to instill a curiosity to further explore math, with different levels of problem solving and real world applications of math topics. Using the Dimensions Math Textbooks to introduce concepts, the weekly lessons will encourage discussion and help students understand the strategies for mathematical problem solving. Corresponding exercises in workbooks will be assigned to reinforce and practice new knowledge. Your student will progress through weekly lessons covering topics such as: Order of operations, fractions, decimals, negative numbers, rate/ratio/percents, algebraic expressions, equations & inequalities, coordinates & graphs, area & volume, data & graphing, and more!
